The purpose of BBC is to create a safe, accepting, social environment that is typical of same-aged peers for students with special needs while developing long lasting friendships.

To promote the ideals of character, service, and leadership among secondary school students, to reward meritorious academic achievement, and to encourage postsecondary education.  Students are invited to join Beta Club beginning the spring of their 9th grade year until the spring of their 11th grade year, based on an overall GPA of 92% or higher. Membership in the middle school Junior Beta Club does not carry over to the Senior Beta Club.

Grayson High School French Club, “Le Club de Français,” is an extension of the French classroom. The Club endeavors to promote enthusiasm among students for French Language and Culture with the end result being Global Competency. It serves as a source of guidance, an opportunity to use what is learned in class in exchanges with other students, and an opportunity to influence the school and local community in a positive manner. In the Future, the Honor Society aspires to be play an active role in preparing GHS students for the International Skills Diploma Seal.
Students are exposed to additional Francophone Cultural enrichment activities. Activities are student-led and include food tasting, fine arts workshops, French Film viewings, gathering for a meal, etc. Past Club meetings have studied Matisse, made Silhouettes, tasted traditional Fondue and constructed makeshift Eiffel Towers.
Community Service projects with a Francophone focus are an encouraged option for Club members. Students are encouraged to give back to our community through fund-raising efforts and donations (students select an organization to help). Past organizations have included Spooky to Be Hungry (supporting the Southeast Gwinnett Coop.) & Hurricane Relief to Haiti.
The club is open to
1. all GHS students currently enrolled in a French class, and
2. any current GHS student who demonstrates a desire to be actively involved in the study of Francophone Culture and develop personal cultural awareness.

Grayson High School French French National Honor Society (FNHS), “Société Honoraire de Français,” is an extension of the French classroom as well as the French Club. The Honor Society endeavors to promote enthusiasm among students for French Language and Culture with the end result being Global Competency. It serves as a source of guidance, an opportunity to use what is learned in class in exchanges with other students, and an opportunity to influence the school and local community in a positive manner. In the Future, the Club aspires to be play an active role in preparing GHS students for theInternational Skills Diploma Seal.
Membership is by approved application only. Qualifications-In order to be selected as a new member of the FNHS a student must: have a 90 cumulative average in French; have a “B” overall GPA average; be enrolled in the most advanced level of French offered.
When selected to be part of this honorary club, a student must follow the bylaws of the Club Charter and keep current with membership through good academic standing in French as well as other courses, maintain a good record of discipline, and continue to seek opportunities to grow his/her knowledge of francophone culture (earn 8 points per semester).
Points may be earned through many activities including but not limited to:
Tutoring/helping French teacher/student; being a Member of the French club; Evidence of corresponding with a native speaker; Attendance at a function of French NHS; Competition in a foreign language festival or contest (Governor’s Honors, FLAG Spoken Language Contest, National French Exam, French AP Exam); Attending Georgia AATF French Immersion Camp (offered in February annually); Community Service; Other activities (French movie, French Theater production, French art/culture exhibition; Participating in an exchange program (hosting or going). Student must continue to excel in French with a Cumulative “90” average during the school year. To Graduate and wear the FNHS honorary cord, students must be enrolled in an advanced French class during their graduation year.
